According to the details, the Peshawar High Court gave a reserved decision on the review petition against the injunction in the PTI election symbol case.

In the decision, the court reinstated the Election Commission's December 22 decision to withdraw the bat symbol from Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The Peshawar High Court accepted the application of the Election Commission and withdrew the injunction.

Earlier in the hearing, Justice Ejaz Khan had remarked that a two-member bench would look into the matter of hearing the petition.

The PTI lawyer said in arguments that the order of December 26 has not been implemented so far, the Election Commission has no authority to declare the intra-party elections null and void.

The lawyer of the Election Commission had taken the position that intra-party elections were not conducted according to the party constitution, on which it was declared null and void, the Election Commission has not removed the party from the list.

It should be remembered that on December 26, the Election Commission objected to the issuance of an injunction on behalf of the court.

The Election Commission declared the PTI intra-party elections null and void and withdrew the election symbol.
