US Suspends International Grants and Aid, Affecting Pakistan and Afghanistan
The Trump administration has paused all federal grants, loans and foreign aid, which is affecting projects in countries like Pakistan.

The suspension also includes lifesaving supplies for HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, and newborn care, and senior USAID officials have been sent on temporary leave. Only emergency humanitarian aid has been put on hold.
The pause is also affecting projects in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and will have a huge impact. The suspension may end after the review, but Egypt and Israel have been left out.
